Behance:
The Andromeda Galaxy is the nearest spiral galaxy to the Milky Way. It gets its name from the area of the sky in which it appears, the constellation of Andromeda - which was named after the mythological princess Andromeda. Our galaxy is projected to collide with Andromeda in approximately 4 billion years.

My latest charcoal work! I’m really proud of this piece since it’s a complete original — the reference images having been photographed by myself. I spent about 5 days of 3 hours sessions (15 hours total) painstakingly fussing over every miniscule detail. I’m definitely glad to be finished with this. Probably my best so far.
